Educational Multimedia Research Centre
Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC) was established in 1983. The Centre is fully funded by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The Centre produces good qualitative, enrichment & syllabus oriented Educational Television (ETV) programmes. Currently, these programmes are telecast twenty four hours on SWAYAM PRABHA DTH channels. There are 34 DTH channels under SWAYAM PRABHA dedicated to different Subjects/streams.
There are twenty-one EMMRCs all over India.
In 1991, EMMRC, Pune constructed state of the art TV studio. The architecture was designed by the British Architect who designed the BBC Studios in the U.K. This Centre has got the capacity to produce and present Television Programmes on various levels.

Mission: Production of educational software with the help of various subject experts belonging to premier educational and research organizations of the country and to reach out to the widest possible audience segments all over the nation.
